Genus Tremoctopus

(Blanket Octopuses)

(not octopi, octopuses is correct when referring to different species)

Blanket octopuses are a genus of pelagic (open water) octopuses that live in most tropical oceans. They get the name blanket due to the fact that the females have long webbing on their tentacles which looks like a blanket. These species exhibit extreme sexual dimorphism as the females are alot bigger than males and have the webbing, whereas males are a few centimeters long and have no webbing. This webbing is used as a defense mechanism, when a predator approaches the female she unveils her webbing making her look alot bigger. They also have the Badass property of being immune to the Portuguese man o war’s toxin and actually rip off their tentacles and use them for defensive purposes.

I am directing this web series with one of the funniest women I know, Sarah Cornell. She’s a gifted comedian who dare I say looks great in a captain’s hat. We’re doing a web series called “Get Lost with Sarah Cornell DIRECTED BY SARAH HAMBLIN” (the last part I haven’t quite convinced her to add to the title but give me some time, I’ll get around to it).

Get Lost is the glitzy story of globe-trotter Sarah Cornell, and in the episodes we’re planning to shoot in early 2013, we’ll be tackling subjects like how to pack a suitcase, Hawaiian style cooking, the perfect souvenir, how to be a jet-setter, and The Orient.

Our budget is shoestring ($3000 guys, that’s like what Corey Feldman spends on concealer) but the jokes are hard-hitting, right in the gut and we have lots of REWARDS for people who wanna drop some bucks in our starving artist pockets.
